I recently changed the name of this sculpture from ‘Grateful I’m not American’ to ‘Discarded Rights’ as UK laws changed and women are equally at risk of prosecution, despite being able to access abortion.
Mini sculpture created from foam packaging and hard to recycle plastic waste. Free-machine embroidered and hand stitched. 2025
Measurements: 12cms depth x 16cms length x 14cms wide.
Inside the foam packaging is a circular void and an embroidered image of an embryo sits. There are various stitches crossing over and messages stitched around the art work.
