2019
A new series of work continuing the exploration of themes from the first Hidden depths series.
These are the first three new paintings, more are currently being developed. And a small piece exploring combining the style of painting with the Circle shoal sculptures. Of which 'Endless cycle of energy' & 'Deep blue, sun & sky' are further pieces in this body of work
Wild, layered abstract expression, the paintings try to express the ever-moving texture and energy of the sea and sky. The paintings also intend to express the hidden depths of all things, what lies beneath the surface unseen to the naked eye. This also became an analogy for the hidden depths of the mind, that which lies unseen, unexpressed or unknown.
Titles is order left to right,
"love when the moon is full"
"Morning tempest"
"Vanilla evening"
"Hager vor" (rough sea in Cornish) - Aluminium sculpture and oil paint
