Last Map

“Last Map” investigates shoe lasts as three dimensional maps; the making of a last involves the mapping of the individual contours of the foot. Fragments of ordinance survey maps and contour lines are printed and sewn onto muslin and reference memories of walks and travels. Small pressed foliage is incorporated into the folds of the map, such memorabilia that has been gathered by walkers across the centuries.
