This is an expanded photographic piece that builds upon the ‘Torch of Freedom’ series. Both works explore notions of freedom, particularly in relation to women. The model emulates the 'famous' Richard Avedon (1923 - 2004) hair swoosh whilst holding a 'Tampax' between their teeth. The image has been dissected into pages as if torn from a magazine again as a wry homage to the legendary photographer whilst questioning the position of the female as an object.
