Passages Two suggests an unpredictable liminal space and is derived from elements of wall paintings in the colonnaded garden of Julia Felix [Villa di Giulia Felice] in Pompeii. It is concerned with what can be evoked in a painting through the paint itself, its layers both of substance and of signification, its mutability and uncertainty.
