Realities Two

The second in the Realities Series: it does not propose an alternative reality but rather challenges the idea that “Realism” has a mandate to describe what is real. The paintings engage a feeling of creative disorientation as a real and welcome experience. Some of the realities here are self evident – real paint for example – but the paintings also refer to realities of a different order, real visual experiences, phenomena that occur in painting beyond the confines of “Realism”.
