Regen

Graphite pencil on sculpted paper-clay 2018. This hand form has had all but one of its fingers broken off. The remaining index finger has been elongated and is in the process of regenerating itself. The honeycomb pattern blocks drawn across the surface gives the object unity. Its graphite shine calls up the android connotations of sci fi.
