The temporary mixed media artwork was arranged on a boulder at South beach in Whitehaven,West Cumbria in May 2021. I sketched out an outline of a hand mirror and amplified the image by scratching and rubbing in the residue of a coal pebble.Inside the mirror,I placed a photograph of the beach reflecting back an earlier time of memory and place or perhaps suggesting a route through the mirror portal to another reality or dream .
