Stone Spoon Soup

By  Bob Budd 2012
A work located on the edge of school grounds in Gols, Burgenland, Austria. The `spoon' is formed of granite setts (approx 25 cm cubes). In the first instance, the ground around the spoon had to be heightened or lowered to accommodate the form of the spoon. Melons can be seen in the bowl of the spoon. The last image has been photoshoped - the landscaping around the spoon was completed after I left the site - I have added in the grass to give an impression of what the finished work would look like.
