The second iteration of Behold, the Emergence of the Oracle, installed at Manchester's School of Digital Arts. This work was created in collaboration with artist John-Paul Brown as The Guardians of Living Matter and creative technologist Alasdair Swenson with the support of LOWRY's Artist Development Programme and Galleries. The piece was installed as part of SODA's Storytellers + Machines conference and exhibition.
The work features a hanging mycelium installation and four lights driven by a custom-made AI interpreting live environmental data. It considers what would happen if AI and natural networks became entangled, creating a decentralised biocomputer.
