The Restoration of Hope (detail)

Dimensions
small works for sale are A3 on watercolour paper

The brief for this work was to design artwork that diverted people from looking into the physiotherapy gym. I used a butterfly as a symbol of transformation from a static to mobile state and transferred the butterfly images onto six large windows and four glass door panels that divided the gym from the corridor running along one side. The designs on the butterfly wings are derived from photographs taken within the gym. It is possible to identify crutches, Zimmer frames, walking sticks, exercise bicycles, Medicine balls, a trampoline, the gym ceiling and the artists shadow. Motifs from this project printed onto watercolour paper are available for sale.
