The Tyne Eye

Designed for the redevelopment of Littlehaven Promenade, South Shields, the Eye was inspired by the location's history as a place for watching boats entering the Tyne. Around the centre of the eye are carved words from the traditional song 'Blow the Wind Southerly'. The sculpture has proven to be a popular addition to the seafront, and the Littlehaven Promenade redevelopment won in the 2015 Northern Design Awards.
