The installation was created in response to the disturbing issue of countries and regimes use of children as soldiers in armed conflicts around the world.I highlighted this issue by creating a Christmas Cracker , embossing the surface with related text and images and filling the contents with plastic toy soldiers.I created the artwork to coincide with Christmas in order to highlight this issue and make people aware of the exploitation and abuse of children at this time of supposed peace and celebration.
