Theresa Easton is a printmaker and lecturer in Fine Art based at Newcastle University

Easton is a printmaker, socially engaged artist and Lecturer in Fine Art (Printmaking) at Newcastle University specialising in artists books, zines and letterpress broadsides.

Printmaking provides a platform for Easton’s focus on social history, archives, libraries and museums to fulfil projects. Heritage interpretation plays an important part in Easton's practice. Using contemporary printmaking processes Easton is interested in exploring cultural and historical episodes.

As an artist with a socially engaged practice, Easton enjoys a collaborative approach to making artwork and developing ideas alongside participants.  Community participation and political activism feature as a driving force in her work.

Easton is one of the founding members of Artists’ Union England, a recently formed trade union for visually & applied artists and artists with a socially engaged practice.
