Catherine Knight is a painter based at BV Studio Bristol. Since graduating from an MA in Fine Art at Bath Spa University in 2008 with a distinction, she has exhibited widely in both private and public gallery spaces including Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the New Art Gallery, Walsall.  Most notably she won the Insight Art Prize at the Royal Watercolour Society Open 2022 and was shortlisted for the Jacksons Art Prize in 2021.

Catherine’s work is distinctive for its vibrant use of colour in evocative landscapes and interiors. In 2018, she was one of five artists who took part in the Bristol/ Hannover Artist Exchange, which linked up artists in the two cities and resulted in group exhibitions in both.  Her recent Isolation Windows project led to a Solo Show at Exeter Phoenix gallery in May 2021. She is currently working towards a Solo Show at Petersfield Museum in March 2023.
