Jim Lockey
Based in Folkestone, UK. Jim is a contemporary artist making live art and interactive art. As well as making art Jim is interested in Old English literature, enjoys being outdoors, and takes photos using a gameboy.
Jim is an MA graduate with over ten years experience working in the arts, arts-education and running socially engaged projects. Experienced in creating, managing and delivering complex projects from festivals to workshop programmes for schools, as well as his live-art practice
He was awarded a DYCP grant from the arts council in 2019 to create a new body of work.
He was named as one of AXIS web’s ‘MAstars’ in 2010, recognising outstanding post-graduate work. In 2017 he was a speaker at the first TEDx Folkestone event, and was part of the faculty for Folkestone is An Art School (Folkestone Triennial 2017).
