At Stake

By  Ann Goddard 2013

David Ramkalawon

The piece consists of 7 suspended units. Part of a body of work exploring the impact of human activity on nature.

When a tree is felled not only is the tree lost but also a valuable habitat for a vast range of small life forms. The bark used comes from trees felled to make way for a housing development. Synthetic rubber stitches hold the constructions together.

Materials: bark, neoprene cord, wire, feathers, , rebar stakes

Technique: own technique
