Zig-Zag

By Jan Blake 2012 - 2013
A kinetic sculpture made from recycled cardboard boxes. Jan was commissioned by Aune Head Arts to make a radio broadcast for EVA Sound Art Radio. For this she chose to invite 6 dancers/choreographers, Laura Moy, Hayley Adams, Paula Salaurand, Alice Armstrong, Rebecca D’Andrea and Judith Jarvis, to join her at The Island Bristol to create a percussive sound piece from the sound of their feet on the floor in response to this sculpture. The resulting broadcast ‘Zig-Zag a Sculpture of Sounds‘ can be heard on line ; http://www.richardpovall.net/aha/site/projects/eva/?page_id=27 and a film of the workshop can be viewed on You Tube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ir_oxf6NRBE
