Artefact I

By  Adam Grose 2018
Artefact I explores ideas about how we interpret found objects from lost, forgotten or obscure cultures. It delves into the implications objects have upon our understanding of the past and how they re-shape the present. Through exploring objects fashioned by hand, affected by entropy and giving the appearance of once being part of something larger, these objects present a dialogue about how we attribute a meaning from our contemporary mindset, unaware of potential biases and prejudices, revealing the importance of constant re-evaluation and re-contextualising the collections of our ancestors.
